Facebook to feature exclusive content from eight Brazilian football clubs on Facebook Watch

Facebook has recently announced a new partnership with Brazilian football clubs Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Fluminense, Palmeiras, Santos, São Paulo, and Vasco da Gama, with the aim of publishing videos with exclusive content on Facebook Watch.

According to information reported on several specialized websites in Brazil, videos will be published throughout the 2021 season of the Brasileirão, the Brazilian Professional Football League. Its content will be based on training sessions, exclusive interviews, the behind-the-scenes of each team’s matches, and other content.

‘Our aim is to develop, together with the clubs, projects that involve their fans. In addition, we want our partners to be able to expand their income and their business on our platform’, reported Pitter Rodriguez, Strategic Media Partnerships, Sports at Facebook in Brazil.

The creation and development of the project is in charge of LiveMode, a startup developed Esporte Interativo’s Founders (now ‘TNT Sports’ in Brazil), which, for the second consecutive year, will be in charge of managing the production of the clubs videos.

‘We are excited about the renewal and growth of the project. We strongly believe that the union of the clubs will always be important to achieve results and produce very meaningful content, as it happened last year. Facebook’s commitment and initiative were a key element for the platform to host the largest digital project in Brazilian football’, reported Guilherme Lenz Cesar, Director at LiveMode.
