US Spanish-speaking broadcaster HITN (Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network) has announced a new agreement with Roku to include the SVOD OTT Edye’s catalog of educational content in Spanish for its users in the US and Latin America.
According to the information reported, as a result of the partnership, Roku users will be able to access more than 70 series for preschool audiences made by the main producers of animated content worldwide, as well as more than 2,500 episodes of these content, as well as interactive parenting content and guides, creating learning opportunities for families.
Through this new partnership, Roku users will be able to access Edye’s catalog in the US, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, and Mexico. In the Mexican market, HITN has recently announced an alliance with the holding company Megacable, through which Edye’s content is available for clients of the operator’s Xview and Xview+ platforms, for free. The partnership with Megacable, in turn, joins Claro Video (America Movil), where Edye is available in various markets in Latin America.
Roku users will be able to download the Edye’s app through the Roku Channel Store, and access its premium content in Spanish. In addition, Roku will include access to Edye on its blog for Mexico, to promote the new app.
