US Spanish-speaking broadcaster Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) announced that its SVOD OTT Edye, with premium content in Spanish for preschool-age audiences, now features more than one million subscribers in the US and Latin America.
The platform has been developing a distribution plan through other OTTs and pay TV operators in Latin America, including Claro Video (America Movil), as well as recently announced partnerships with the Mexican holding company Megacable and with Roku for the US and Latin America. In addition, the Edye app is available for download on Android TV, App Store, Apple TV and Google Play.
Edye’s catalog includes more than 2,500 episodes and more than 70 series for preschool-age audiences, and has even created an educational guide for parents, with the aim of involving families and joining children in their educational experience with the platform.
‘As a non-profit organization, with more than 40 years of experience in providing educational services to the Hispanic community, HITN was perfectly positioned to create Edye and offer parents in the US and Latin America a service that they can trust on, to provide their children meaningful entertainment. We are very proud to know that more than a million families can now enjoy it’, reported Guillermo Sierra, Head of Television and Digital Services at HITN.
