Disney confirmed this Tuesday through its official Twitter account for Latin America that Disney+, its new SVOD OTT officially launched last year, will finally arrive at the region right next November 17th. The announcement took place days after Diego Lerner, President at The Walt Disney Company Latin America, announced the full catalog that the platform will offer in the region.
As announced days ago, Disney+ will be available in Latin America as the exclusive platform for a selected portfolio of films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, in addition to exclusive original productions.
At the beginning of August, at Disney’s Q2 2020 quarterly results presentation, it was announced that Disney+ would be available in Latin America in November, and it was reported that it has recorded 60.5 million subscribers since its official launch. This way, Latin America will join other countries where Disney+ has already been launched, such as the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, Holland, Australia, New Zealand, India, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Japan.
