Disney confirms Star+ subscription value in Latin America as a standalone offer and in bundle with Disney+

The Walt Disney Company Latin America announced this Friday, August 13th, the values ​​of the Star+ monthly subscription, its new SVOD OTT, whose launch in the region will take place on August 31st. According to the information reported, the OTT will be offered as a standalone product, as well as through a single annual subscription. This way, one of the main news, which had already been announced, focuses on the ‘Combo+’, an offer that will bring together Star+ bundled with Disney+ in a single subscription.

‘Star + will feature the widest range of live sports streaming with ESPN production quality, and the possibility of experiencing them in a personalized way like never before, as well as a robust catalog of series, animated comedies and exclusive international and Latin American original productions by Star, and a vast selection of movies, which will premiere first on Star+. Combo+ offers subscribers an exclusive offer, which includes all this Star+ content, added to all the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic stories available on Disney+’, reported Diego Lerner, President at The Walt Disney Company Latin America. ‘With Combo+, each subscriber will be able to find exactly what they want to watch, and will be able to have access to the best and largest streaming content offer, in terms of variety, quantity and quality’, the executive added.

Although Star+ subscriptions values change according to each country, for example, in Argentina the ‘Combo+’ offer is valued at AR $ 995 per month and, in Mexico, MX $ 249, that is, USD 10 and USD 12 per month, respectively. In turn, those who choose to hire Star+ as a standalone offer, will be able to choose between paying a monthly subscription of AR$ 880 or MX $ 199 (in both cases around USD 10), or a single annual subscription, valued at AR $ 8,880 OR MX $ 1,999 (between USD 90 and USD 100). On the other hand, Disney+ continues to be available as a SVOD standalone OTT for those who do not wish to hire Star+.

Disney also reported that Star + will be available on compatible mobile devices and on TVs connected to the internet, including video game consoles, streaming media players and smart TVs. In addition, Star + titles can be watched on up to four devices at the same time, and it will be possible to make unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, and even access personalized recommendations and configure seven different profiles, including the parental control option.

As of August 31st, it will be possible to subscribe to Star + through its official web version, and to Combo+ from the official Disney+ or Star+ website. In addition, those who have hired the annual Disney+ subscription will also be able to access the Combo+ benefit from that same day.
