Disney channels launch on Record’s OTT service PlayPlus

PlayPlus, the streaming service that Grupo Record launched in August, has signed an agreement with Disney to add Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD into its platform.
Subscribers of PlayPlus will have access to Disney Junior content in the package for R$ 12.90 (USD 3.2) and to Disney XD and Disney Channel in the ‘Sports and Kids’ package for R$ 32.80 (USD 8).
Disney Junior offers pre-school children access to series such as “Mickey Adventures on Wheels,” “Puppy Dog Pals,” ” Doc McStuffins,” and “The Lion Guard,” among others.
In Disney XD, children find Marvel animation series such as “Hulk and agents of S.M.A.S.H.”, “Avengers Assemble” and “Ultimate Spider-Man”. In addition, the channel airs series such as “Phineas and Ferb”, ” Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil” and “The New Yoda Chronicles”.
On Disney Channel, viewers can watch shows such as “Soy Luna”, “O11CE”, “Juacas” and news segments such as Disney Planet. The programming also includes films by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney-Pixar.
PlayPlus already offers ESPN channels on its platform. It also includes original productions, Record TV programming, PlayKids, FishTV and Supertoons, as well as radios and podcasts.
Aline Sordili, Director of Multiplatform Development at Record TV will participate as speaker in the next edition of NexTV Series Brazil, to be held on November 28 and 29 at the World Trade Center São Paulo.
