Discovery to represent Sony’s advertising sales in Brazil and Mexico

Discovery Latin America & US Hispanic (DLA / USH – Discovery Inc), has recently announced an agreement with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) through which DLA / USH will become SPT’s advertising sales representative in Brazil and Mexico, and pan regional sales from Florida, US.

Under the terms of the agreement, DLA / USH will represent SPT’s current pay TV channels catalog – Sony Channel and AXN – as well as its digital platforms for the advertising sales in the territories already mentioned.

‘Adding the SPT brands to the Discovery portfolio will generate scale, reach and creative opportunities for advertisers’, said Fernando Medin, President at Discovery Latin America & US Hispanic. ‘We believe it will make life easier for our clients, who will be able to optimize their resources by having a unique and prestigious set of brands, genres and programs under one roof’, he added.

In Latin America, the Discovery catalog is made up of 14 brands that include: Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Kids, Discovery Home & Health, TLC, ID, Food Network, HGTV, GOLF Channel Latin America, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Science, Discovery Civilization, Discovery Theater HD and Discovery World HD. Sony Pictures Television’s portfolio includes Sony Channel and AXN.
