DirecTV’s new OTT service was launched in Colombia and Chile

The satellite TV Company, DirecTV, begins to offer on November 15th a new OTT service in Colombia and Chile. It’s called DirecTV Go and it’s the equivalent of the US service named DirecTV Now, the one that the company brings from late 2016.

Who does not own any of the traditional pay services (Cable, Satellite, IPTV), just needs to register with a credit card to have access to more than 80 live channels and over three thousands films on VOD. The month amount would be in local currency and would be USD 24,8 in Colombia and USD 20,2 in Chile. There is only one plan existing so far.

‘This is the answer from the Company to a market that advances by hugh steps and that have given the power to the pople to choose what they want to watch, the time and schedule’, said DirecTV Colombia Manager General, José Daniel Gómez. The board member also said that Oro plan or higher members in Colombia (Oro HD in Chile) have free access to the new product.

The service would be available on the web site and also on IOS and Android Apps. As a launch campaign, DirecTV Go would have a trial free period of seven days.
