Deal or no Deal is adapted again in Argentina through Telefe

The Argentina FTA TV channel Telefe started to produce the local version of ‘Deal or No Deal’, an Endemol Shine Group format that was already broadcast on the channel between 2003 and 2006. Apart from Argentina, it has recently been adapted in Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil and the US.

Although there is not a confirmed date for its release, Telefe has already opened a call for participants and began promoting the program on its screen. As in 2003, the Argentine version of the format will be titled ‘Trato Hecho’, and will be watched during the TV channel’s prime time.

In Deal or No Deal, each participant must choose one of the 26 available briefcases, each with different amounts of money. Later, the participant must select, one by one, the rest of the briefcases to know their content. Throughout the game, the player is offered an amount of money or prizes to leave the game. In case the participant rejects each deal and removes all other briefcases, he will keep the briefcase he chose at the beginning and with the money inside. This way, the player will win depending on whether the money in the briefcase he chose is higher or lower than the amounts of money offered in the deals.
