Sports streaming platform DAZN has entered the Brazilian market with the transmission of one Serie A match on Facebook and YouTube. In March 2019, the company will launch its OTT SVOD service in the country.
Coverage is available free and began on Friday December 7 with the match between Juventus and Inter for the Italian league. On Saturday, the company was going to show Marseille vs Saint-Etienne match for Ligue 1, but it was postponed.
Recently, DAZN announced its entry into the Latin American market with the launch of the service in Brazil, scheduled for next year. In addition to Ligue 1 and Serie A, the content offer will include the Copa Sudamericana, for four seasons.
DAZN belongs to the Perform group. It entered into operations in 2016 in Japan, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and then launched in Canada (2017), the United States (2018) and Italy (2018). In the US, the monthly subscription costs USD 9.99. The price in Brazil has not yet been announced.
