DAZN made its first eSports broadcasts in Brazil

The sports OTT DAZN made its first eSports broadcast in Brazil last Saturday, February 1st. The platform has acquired the Blast Premier 2020 broadcasting rights, a competition focused on the ‘Counter Strike: Global Offensive’ (CC:GO) videogame, with all narrations in English.

The competition’s first phase is taking place in London and will end on February 16th, and the last step will be hold in Moscow, between June 19th and 21st. According to the Brazilian specialized website Telaviva, the competition will meet 12 teams and will have an award valued at USD 4.25 million.

Available in Brazil since May 2019, and apart from its first experience in the eSports universe in Brazil, DAZN has reduced its monthly subscription value in Brazil by almost 50% in January, together with the acquisition of the Campeonato Paranaense for its catalog, as it was previously announced in December.
