DAZN completes its international expansion and is now available in 200 countries and territories

As reported at the end of October, the sports OTT DAZN has finally resumed its international expansion plans –originally announced in March-, and is now available in more than 200 countries and territories, including countries in Latin America, where the platform was already available in Brazil since May 2019. As officially reported from DAZN, the SVOD OTT’s global expansion will initially include boxing content, although new sports and content will be offered from 2021.

‘We are excited to launch our global platform with an action-packed opening month featuring boxing’s biggest stars and a suite of premium original programming’, reported DAZN EVP, Joseph Markowski.

Some of the fights that will be part of the DAZN’s global catalog during this month, the platform will broadcast the one starred by Mexican boxer Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and the English Callum Smith, which will take place on December 19th in San Antonio (Texas, US), although it will not be available for DAZN subscribers in Mexico.

According to what DAZN has officially reported, the OTT monthly subscription will be valued at £1.99 (USD 2,40) ‘or less’. Apart from a fight schedule, DAZN’s global platform features an archive of classic fights, athlete features and a slate of original programming including ‘40 DAYS’, ‘Saturday Fight Live’ and ‘One Night’.
