DAZN announces exclusive Davis Cup broadcast in Brazil until 2021

The sports OTT DAZN announced a new exclusive agreement for the platform: the Davis Cup matches broadcasting rights, which this year is having a new format, will be exclusive for DAZN until the 2021 season. Apart from that, DAZN announced a series about the Brazilian tennis player Bruno Soares.

‘Tennis fans who are already watching WTA on DAZN will now have more opportunities to watch tennis on the platform. We are happy to offer quality content to our subscribers, which is an absolute priority for us. Tennis is one of the most beloved sports of the Brazilian fan and I’m sure that both the Davis Cup and the series with Bruno Soares, which deals with their intimate relationship with the family and the sport, will please the public’, says Sérgio Floris , VP of Rights, Partnerships and Original Content of DAZN in Brazil.

The ‘Bruno Soares: Vida em dupla’ series, available since November 17th, shows the backstage of the athlete’s life. ‘We know that audiences, in general, do not have access to athlete’s private life. So, we had the idea of producing a documentary in this line. For the first time, tennis fans will have the opportunity to meet Bruno in a complete way, outside the court’, said the athlete, who ran the agreement with DAZN to broadcast of content, which was recorded earlier this year.

‘Running an agreement with DAZN was incredible. I am very happy to star in the first series focused on the backstage of tennis launched by the platform in Brazil, together with one of the biggest tournaments worldwide, such as the Davis Cup. I am anxious, my expectation is very positive. I hope that tennis fans like the initiative’, he concluded.
