Comteco launches Go On TV and strengthens its digital strategy with pay TV channels and OTTs

The Cooperativa de Telecomunicaciones de Cochabamba (Comteco) has recently announced it is strengthening its digital strategy through the launch of Go On TV, available from last February 1st. It is a platform that includes linear pay TV channels, VOD content and access to other OTTs, paying the subscription according to which each client of the company wants to hire. (cozumelparks.com)

As reported from the Bolivian newspaper ‘Los Tiempos’ website, some of the OTTs that can be accessed through Go On TV are Disney+; Amazon Prime Video; HBO GO; ESPN Play; YouTube and Spotify. The new platform is available both from its official web version, and from any TV through Comteco’s STB; as well as for mobile devices, through the app.

‘Go on TV allows viewers to live a much more complete and interactive experience in which, in addition to enjoying live TV, they will now have full control of the programming: pause and rewind their live programs and play those already broadcast, search content directly by voice commands; see programming recommendations or find out programs that will be aired on the next few days, and much more’, they reported from Comteco.

David Montaño, Comteco’s Planning Manager, reported that ‘with the consolidation of the Go on TV project, we once again show that, despite the difficult times that our country and the world are experiencing, Comteco continues to invest and we continue to innovate, being disjunctive in the market. We want to reach more people, we want to reach a national and international level’.

Available plans include content packages for those living outside of Bolivia (called ‘Go On Viajero’); as well as with internet (from 20 to 60 mbps) and with minutes to make phone calls.
