Colombia to discuss the new TV business

NexTV Series Colombia 2018 will gather more than 35 executives from the main companies to discuss trends in TV, OTT and video. The sixth edition of the leading conference in the region will be held on June 7 at the Convention Center of the Tequendama Hotel in Bogotá.
TigoUne, Claro, Telefónica and ETB will discuss how pay TV via OTT will change the market in the event’s closing panel. DirecTV will also be present at the conference to discuss the integration of third-party OTTs. Emcali and Etapa are among the operators that will participate as speakers.
Avantel will discuss how operators can face the mobile video consumption trend. In addition, the conference will feature an executive panel on the growth opportunities for TV in the country and will invite operators who do not yet offer the television service to discuss the best strategies to enter the market.
Free-to-air TV channels Caracol and RCN will participate in a panel on multi-screen strategies and new advertising. RTVC will also be present to discuss the offering of local content on OTT platforms.
Given the new video consumption habits, which require fast strategies to meet the increase in demand on multiple screens, the event will dedicate a panel to the analysis of the best UI, personalization and recommendation strategies. NexTV Series Colombia will also discuss the future of TV technologies.
The event will also feature “one on one” sessions with Verizon Digital Media Services, Vindicia, Ericsson and Arris. In the afternoon, the National Television Authority (ANTV) will make a special presentation on piracy.
