CNN Brazil will be launched this year as a multi platform news TV channel, but it will not be programmed by Turner. TV network will be available for Pay TV subscribers as a 24 hour news channel, and also on digital platforms. Journalist Douglas Tavolaro will be the CEO of the company, while manager Rubens Menin will be in charge of the Directors broad.

Brazilian TV network will be launched in Brazil with news agencies in San Pablo, Río de Janeiro and Brasilia, and it will also have correspondents abroad. CNN International and CNN in Spanish will continue available in the country, under Turner’s responsibility.

As agreed, CNN Brasil will be entitled to some CNN International assets, such as content and team training. However, Brazilian TV channel will have editorial freedom, and it will not admit CNN International interventions.  Advertising marketing will be independent too.
