Claro Sports joins Cinepolis Klic’s catalog in Mexico

Cinepolis Klic announced this Thursday, October 1st, that the sports pay TV channel Claro Sports is joining its content catalog for a MX$ 250 (USD 11) monthly subscription. In addition, the channel will include an initial seven-day trial period for free.

With the agreement, Claro Sports will be broadcast for the first time on an OTT platform. ‘Satisfying our audiences has always been a priority for us. We are constantly looking for new content alternatives and, therefore, the partnership agreement between Cinepolis Klic and Claro Sports means that we will be able to provide more high-quality sports entertainment’, reported Marco Garcia de la Cruz, General Manager at Cinepolis Klic.

From Claro Sports they have also expressed themselves on the agreement through Jose Aboumrad, General Manager of the channel. ‘We are very proud to be running this agreement with Cinepolis Klic, since we will be able to grow our audiences with a new experience in the way of broadcasting and sharing the emotion of all sports activity’, said the executive.

As part of its content catalog, Claro Sports owns the broadcasting rights for the next Olympic Games, which will be available to Cinepolis Klic’s subscribers. In addition, Claro Sports programming includes contents from the Olympic Channel; and other daily productions such as ‘Deportes en Claro’; ‘Jugando Claro’; ‘Game Plan’; ‘El Golf es Claro’, and others. It also includes football matches from Liga MX and Liga Expansion (both Mexican leagues); as well as German football with the recently announced agreement to broadcast the Bundesliga in Latin America; cycling events; mixed martial arts, and other disciplines.

Andres Nieto Serpa, Director Latin America at Claro Sports, is one of the confirmed speakers in the next Sportv Series Latin America edition, to be held by Dataxis. The event is taking place virtually today.
