Claro Box TV strengthens its line up with Globo channels in Brazil

The telecommunications company Claro Brazil (America Móvil) has strengthened the Claro Box TV catalog, its new STB launched in October 2020 in several cities of the country, and added Globo’s FTA TV and pay TV channels to its offer, which, up to now, were not available, as both groups had not initially ran an agreement.

As reported by Claro Brazil on its website, the Globo channels already available on Claro Box TV are Globo; Futura; SporTV; SporTV 2; SporTV 3; GloboNews; Off; GNT; Multishow; Viva; +Globosat; Globinho; Bis; Megapix; and others. All the already mentioned channels are available in HD. In addition, Globo premium packages are also available, which must be paid through a different monthly subscription. These are Telecine (whose catalog is made up of Brazilian and Hollywood films), Premiere Futebol (which allows access to matches of the Professional Brazilian Football League, known as ‘Brasileirão’); and Combate (with UFC events, and others).

According to the official Claro Brazil website, all Claro Box TV packages allow access to apps such as Now, Netflix, Claro Musica and Claro Video. In turn, Globo channels are part of the ‘Top HD’ plan, whose monthly subscription is valued at R $ 79.90 (USD 15). Claro Brazil also offers another similar plan, which is called ‘Top HD + 120 Mega’, with 120 megabytes of internet. In this case, the package is available for R $ 179.89 (USD 34).
