Cine.Ar, the channel that belongs to the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) of Argentina, announced that it will launch its high definition channel on Cablevisión (channel 640), and will soon be available on other pay TV operators in the country.
The channel offers national movies, as well as short films and documentaries. This Saturday 28 at 10 p.m, for example, it will air “Relatos Salvajes”, the Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language, directed by Damián Szifron. Other titles that will be available on the channel are “Mi primera boda “, directed by Ariel Winograd (Sunday 29, at 8 p.m); “Las insoladas” by Gustavo Taretto (Monday 30, at 10 p.m) and “Jauja” by Lisandro Alonso (Tuesday, May 1, at 10 p.m).
INCAA said that last year, Cine.Ar has multiplied its ratings and is currently among the six most watched film and series channels, according to data provided by Kantar Ibope Media.
The channel is also available for clients of multiplatform service Cablevisión Flow. In this way, the Argentine operator continues to strengthen its HD platform, which already has more than 70 channels.
