Chivas TV, the Mexican football team Club Deportivo Guadalajara OTT, better known as ‘Las Chivas’. announced a reduction on its monthly subscription value, which now costs MX $ 39 (USD 2.09). The new price means a reduction of around 60% in relation to 2019, when it was at MX $ 111 (USD 6).
As officially announced, the platform enabled this year a second possibility to access its contents, which consists of subscribing on a daily basis, valued at MX $ 29 (USD 1.5). They also reported that some changes in the platform interface are already active, and, with them, it will be ‘much more friendly and accessible’. All they are available since the beginning of the Mexican League, in January.
Chivas TV broadcasts all the live matches that the team disputes locally in the Mexican championship (Liga MX), apart from minor leagues , the Women’s League and content of the platform, live and on demand.
Chivas TV was launched in mid-2016, when the Club Deportivo Guadalajara decided not to renew its TV rights with Televisa. Although initially the OTT was the only one that broadcast the club’s local matches, the club began negotiating rights with other TV channels and OTTs, which began broadcasting the games. For the 2020 season, the team matches can also be watched in Mexico through Televisa, TV Azteca and Multimedios.
