With the objective of improving the user experience through the implementation of new technologies, VTR (Liberty Latin America), Chile’s largest pay TV operator, has launched Nextgen Go, a new equipment that allows extending Internet coverage within the home, where the signal is weak, using the electrical wiring.
Nextgen Go has a monthly price of Ch$ 2,990 (USD 4.4) and operates in both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, with automatic selection of the best network, depending on the compatibility of the devices. According to the company, this product is designed for the consumer who prioritizes having Wi-Fi connection throughout the house.
It includes two equipment, one wired and the other wireless. The first one is connected to the modem, while the second is located in the room or place where additional WiFi coverage is required. Both will connect to each other using the electrical wiring.
This product joins the Wi-Fi Nextgen Pro, an extender that VTR launched in July 2017, which operates through cable connection and is aimed at customers that make intensive use of the Internet, such as gamers.
