Chile’s TVN reduces losses

Chilean broadcaster TVN reported losses of CH$ 5.4 billion (USD 8.4 million) during January and September of this year. This is 45% less than the CH$ 9.8 billion (USD 15.3 million) from previous year.

The data was revealed by TVN’s Chairman of the board, Ricardo Solari, in the Science and Technology Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, in the middle of the discussion of the capitalization law of TVN, according to Diario Financiero.

The executive said that, in two years, TVN has reduced its losses by 70%, from the CH$ 17 billion (USD 26.4 million) recorded in September 2015. At the end of September of this year, the channel registered sales of CH $ 38 billion (USD 59.1 million) compared to CH $ 33 billion (USD 51.3 million) of previous year.
