On Monday, August 5th, Movistar will exclusively premiere the Chilean series La Cacería on its Movistar Play and Movistar Series platforms. This is an eight-episode police thriller based on real events, written by Enrique Videla and Rodrigo Fluxa, and directed by Juan Ignacio Sabatini, which will be broadcast outside Chile for the first time.
‘Set in the north of Chile at the end of the 90s, the series starts with the disappearance of 12 young people in the Alto Hospicio comune, fact that motivated one of the most relevant police cases in Chilean history. This case, whose official version was focused on young people escaping from broken homes and white slave traffic, hid a much bigger horror: a serial killer who remained unpunished because of the authorities negligence’, the company informed about the story’s plot.
La Caceria is a co-production of Chilean producer Villano, the FTA TV channel Mega, the Chilean National Television Council (CNTV) and the Production Development Corporation (Corfo), and premiered on Mega in 2018. The eight episodes will be available to be watched in VOD format on Movistar Play, and will be broadcast every Monday at 9:00 p.m. (Peru) and 10:00 p.m. (Chile) on Movistar Series.
