US company Canela Media has recently announced that its AVOD OTT Canela.TV, officially launched in the US and Puerto Rico in 2020 and aimed at Hispanic audiences, is starting its international expansion process and has been introduced in the Mexican market.
Access to the platform is free, and those who wish to enter must log in previously. The AVOD OTT gathers around 20 thousand hours of content in Spanish, including movies, novelas, children’s content, and others. Some of its Latin American content partners are Caracol Television (Colombia), RCN (Colombia), Polka (Argentina), Atresmedia (Spain), as well as classic Hollywood titles, which are added to the Canela.TV catalog every week.
‘Mexican audiences have really embraced streaming over the past few years, and we are thrilled to add Canela.TV and its library of content, featuring old favorites as well as original productions, to the country’s entertainment landscape’, reported Isabel Rafferty, CEO & Founder at Canela Media. ‘We look forward to bringing Mexicans content from across Latin America that they can engage with and enjoy on a regular basis, at no additional cost for them’, the executive added.
Access to Canela.TV can be done both through its official website, as well as through mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems; from streaming devices like Roku; Apple TV; Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast; and through devices with Google TV.
