Pay TV operator, Canal+ has signed a deal with African utilities company, Bboxx in a unique partnership to expand access to TV across the African continent.
Bboxx is primarily know for manufacturing and distributing solar powered systems but will launch a bundle with Canal+ which will provide its customers with a solar home system and a TV that will have access to over 100 channels. The partnership is targeted at rural and also urban communities that live off-grid or without a reliable grid connection. The roll-out will start firstly in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo.
