Cablevisión Flow app reaches 580,000 users

Cablevisión Flow mobile app currently has 580,000 users in Argentina, and about 290,000 users access the service through set-top boxes, according to data provided by the company to NexTV News Latam. In Uruguay, the Flow application, which was launched in September 2017, has reached 15,000 users.
Flow is the multiplatform service of the Argentine operator, which is a pioneer in the region. It was launched in Q416 in Argentina and therefore has been in the market for just over a year. The service experienced an important growth during the last months. In the last edition of the NexTV Series conference, held in Argentina in June 2017, the COO of the company – now COO of Telecom – Gonzalo Hita, indicated that about 300,000 customers were using the Flow app for mobile devices and about 100,000 were accessing the service via hybrid STBs.
Hita will participate in NexTV Series Argentina 2018, the leading conference to be held on May 16 and 17 at the Buenos Aires Convention Centre.
In mid-september 2017, Cablevisión reported that Flow had 400,000 users in its app version and 140,000 in the Box version. Meanwhile, in Uruguay the app has recently reached 15,000 users since its launch, six months ago. The Box version is not available in this country.
Flow includes access to linear TV channels, catch up, VOD, features such as Cloud DVR and the option to pause live content on any device. It is available at no additional cost for HD clients and for AR$ 100 (USD 5) for the rest of the clients.
At the end of Q417, Cablevisión had 3.92 million unique customers, of which 89.4% were cable TV subscribers, the company reported in its financial results.
