The companies Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) and Digicel announced an agreement to broadcast the next three seasons Premier League’s matches live in the Caribbean, through Caribbean Premier Sports Limited (CPSL), their new joint venture. The agreement with the English football competition covers live, on demand and streaming broadcasts.
‘We are excited to join forces with Digicel and introduce a brand new channel that offers a unique platform for the Premier League and delivers the best football to more customers across the region’, said Stephane David, VP, Chief Programming Officer of Liberty Latin America, CWC’s parent company. In addition, Paul Molnar, Premier League’s Broadcasting Director, expressed that ‘the combined reach of both companies across the Caribbean makes this an exciting prospect and will ensure fans around the region have access to their favorite players and teams’.
Cable & Wireless announced in a statement that it would work together with Digicel to offer a platform with Premier League matches for more customers throughout the region. The company added that it would provide more information about CPSL when it becomes operational, later this year.
