Bronco, Turner’s new series about the same name’s Mexican band, is now available on TNT, where it premiered on September 24th. It can also be accessed through Claro Video since last October 3rd, with weekly premieres.
The project, co-produced between Turner Latin America, Plataforma and Comarex, and based on the book Cicatrices de un Corazon Bronco, written by Jose Guadalupe Esparza, Bronco’s leader, is a 13 one-hour episode series and tells the story of the Mexican band formed in 1979, which this year celebrates its 40th birthday in business.
‘We are proud to launch this 100% Mexican co-production, which will surely please local audiences. Bronco is a friendship and overcoming story, but also based on a musical band that knew how to leave a mark on different groups and generations lives with its legacy, so we are sure that this multiscreen project will reach the audiences hearth’, said Mariano Cesar, General Entertainment Brands Content and Portfolio VP at Turner Latin America.
Bronco is starred by Luis Alberti as the leader of the band, Lupe Esparza; Yigael Yadin, as bassist Jose Luis ‘Choche’ Villarreal; Baltimore Beltran, as guitarist Javier Villarreal; and Raul Sandoval, as keyboardist Ramiro Delgado. The filming of the series began in May and included locations in Mexico City, Apodaca – in the Nuevo Leon state, where the band was created – and the US, and ended in August.
