Brazilian Serie C games to be shown live on CBF’s site

Given the shutdown of Turner’s Esporte Interativo in Brazil, the media group decided to give the TV rights of Serie C (the third division of the Brazilian soccer league) to CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation). Thus, fans can watch the games through the site and Facebook and YouTube profiles.
Turner will continue in charge of the production of the transmissions. “The decision to close the channels left people without the broadcasts of the C Series. Out of respect of fans, we made an agreement with the CBF,” said Fabio Medeiros, head of Sports at Turner Brazil. The agreement also includes games of Campeonato de Aspirantes U23.
In this way, the move of all the events in which Esporte Interativo had rights continues, since although the channels are still on air, the current programming is mainly reruns. Last week, TNT and Space have already broadcast Champions League matches and a decision for the broadcasts of the Copa do Nordeste is expected soon.
