BBC Studios to continue showing British content in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay with Flow

BBC Studios and the Argentine pay TV operator Cablevision agreed to extend the multi-year agreement they ran in December 2017, through which Cablevision Flow’s subscribers in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay -where it was launched last year- will have access, during the next two years, to more than 200 hours of British content, including drama series, documentaries, and natural history, science and medicine programs.

‘We are delighted to continue this strong relationship that we have built with Cablevision, a very valuable partner for BBC Studios. This agreement is a clear sign of the commitment we have with the Latin American market and, thanks to this extension, we can share more British content of the highest quality for all kinds of audiences’, said Karina Dolgiej, VP Content Sales at BBC Studios.

Antonio Alvarez, Programming Director at Telecom, has also expressed himself on the renewal of the agreement with BBC Studios: ‘Deepening our partnership with this prestigious producer and distributor is part of our strategic vision, which aims to continue amplifying the offer of international quality content on our Flow platform, and make available to our customers the best content produced in the world’, said the executive.

The agreement makes available some content that can be accessed for the first time in Latin America, such as ‘We Hunt Together’, ‘Traces’, ‘Dead Pixels’, the second season of ‘The Split’ and ‘Five by Five’. Some of the most acclaimed titles from BBC Studios will also be available, such as special episodes of ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Luther’, ‘The Musketeers’, ‘The Honorable Woman’, and others. Two premium documentaries not broadcast in Latin America up to now are also available, such as ‘Icons’ and ‘Once upon a time in Iraq’, added to science and natural history content, such as ‘Rituals’, ‘The Wonderful World of Baby Animals’ and ‘Wild Japan’.

The BBC Studios catalog on Flow will also include documentaries related to the musical world, including ‘David Bowie The Last Five Years’, ‘Daft Punk Unchained’, ‘U2 Live in London’, ‘Ariana Grande Live in London’, ‘Avicii True Stories ‘, and others.

This content selection is added into the different entertainment offers available on Flow, such as live TV and on-demand content from series, movies, documentaries, gaming and music, in a multi-screen experience. In addition, they are available to all Cablevisión customers, through Cablevision HD Channel 1 or through the Flow App, which can be downloaded for free on any device, by logging in with each subscriber’s Cablevisión user.
