The AVOD OTT Vix officially announced its launch in Brazil as “Vix Cine & TV”. Access to its catalog is possible with no need to make a previous registration. The launch takes place months before the arrival of Pluto TV (ViacomCBS) in that country, where both platforms are the main players in the AVOD segment for this year.

In Brazil, Vix offers more than 1,500 hours of content in Portuguese, including films, series, soap operas, children’s content, and others. In addition, Vix is ​​running agreements with different Brazilian production companies to add local content to its catalog. This way, the specialized website UOL reported that Vix has ran an agreement with the Brazilian production company O2 Play, to include titles by the Brazilian filmmaker Ugo Giorgetti, such as ‘Boleiros’ 1 and 2, ‘O Principe’, ‘Sabado’ and ‘Cara ou Coroa’. In addition to its launch in Brazil, Vix acquired the OTT Pongalo last year, and it was launched as an AVOD platform in Latin America and the US.

Access to the platform can be done both from its web version, as from iOS and Android devices, as well as from various streaming players, such as Chromecast, Roku and Android TV, and others
