Brazilian public broadcaster TV Cultura, part of Fundação Padre Anchieta and recognised for its educational and cultural content, has implemented the Ateme Titan delivery system to realise 4K Ultra HD for the first time.
The landmark was reached during the live broadcast of the grand finale of Prelúdio 2019, a reality show dedicated to discovering talented classical musicians, which was broadcast in 4K-UHD last November 24th, from Casa Sao Paulo Concert Hall. The live event was transmitted via satellite to a dedicated 4K channel of the major local TV operator as well as to TV Cultura’s YouTube channel.
Using Ateme’s Titan UHD solution, TV Cultura was said to have been able to broadcast the event at premium video quality. “Our customers were given access to outstanding picture quality, with four-times more pixels and an enlarged colour range, which made the picture more true to life’, said TV Cultura Engineering Director, Nelson Faria Junior.
‘We were pleased to support TV CULTURA on this important live event, providing ATEME’s TITAN UHD solution and expertise. This 4K-UHD broadcast demonstrates ATEME’s commitment to technological excellence, the outstanding quality of our solutions and our ability to quickly deploy high quality TV services around the world. Our video delivery solutions are at the heart of many UHD service offerings and we are happy to be doing it here in Brazil’, said Gilmar Luna, Director of Engineering Latam, Ateme Brazil.
