Apple launches its new OTT Apple TV+

Apple TV+, Apple’s new OTT, was launched today, with an offer that includes original productions from the company available at a USD 4.99 monthly subscription. Those who buy an Apple device (such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Ipod Touch or Mac), will be able to access the new OTT contents for free.

‘It is a gift for our clients and, from a commercial point of view, we are very proud of the content we offer. We would like to see as many people as possible watching it. Therefore, this allows us to focus on maximizing subscribers, particularly at the beginning. We believe it is a bold move’, said Tim Cook, CEO at Apple.

In its original productions, Apple TV+ brings together  some of the Hollywood’s biggest stars, such as Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jason Momoa and Oprah Winfrey. Some of the Apple TV+’s original productions include The Morning Show, See, Dickinson, For all mankind, Snoopy in space, The elephant queen, Helpsters, Ghostwriter, Servant and Truth be told (not enabled trailers will soon be available on the platform). Subscribers will be able to watch Apple TV+ originals both online and offline, without advertising and on demand on the Apple TV app, which is already available on iPhones, iPads, Apple TV and iPod Touch, and will soon be also on Mac. Productions will be subtitled or dubbed in almost 40 languages, including subtitles for deaf and hard hearing people (SDH). Apple TV+ series and movies will also be available with audio descriptions in eight languages.

‘With Apple TV + we are presenting totally original stories from the most brilliant and creative minds, and we know that viewers will find their new favorite show or movie on our screen’, said Zack Van Amburg, Apple Video President.
