America Movil expands Claro Box TV throughout Latin America and launches it in Colombia

Telecommunications company Claro (America Movil) announced this last Thursday, June 17th, the launch of Claro Box TV in Colombia, which was originally released in Brazil in 2020. The announcement takes place after, at the end of April, Daniel Hajj, CEO at America Movil, confirmed in a conference with analysts that the device will be launched in the rest of the Latin American countries where the company operates.

One of the features that the device allows is the Timeshift, which allows pausing and making catch-up in the TV channels programming; as well as recording content in the cloud, which will be available for a period of up to six months. Claro Box TV’s pay TV plans include a basic package, with 77 channels in HD and 22 in SD; and a higher package, in which the HD and SD channels are 102 and 46, respectively.

Also, in addition to content searches using the keyboard on the TV screen or Google Assistant, from Claro Box TV it is possible to create content recording lists, and even access featured and recommended content from the device’s main screen. The STB also includes a remote control, with built-in Google Assistant and access to Claro Video.
