Amazon Prime Video to launch a new Chivas series

Amaury Vergara, President of the Guadalajara Sports Club, better known as ‘Las Chivas’, announced that Amazon is filming a documentary series based on the Mexican football club, which will be part of the Amazon Prime Video catalog. Last February, the OTT released ‘Tudo ou Nada: Seleção Brasileira’, its first original production in Brazil, starred by that country’s National Team.

‘It will be a series for Amazon Prime Video. It is the first of its kind in Mexico and we are going to be into the greats in football with this series’, said Vergara. The series, whose name and number of episodes were not reported, joins other audiovisual projects of the club, such as the OTT ‘Chivas TV’ and ‘Chivas: la pelicula’, a documentary about the club released in 2018.

Regarding the new project with Amazon Prime Video, Vergara explained that, compared to the movie, ‘we now have more tools and much more structure to do something much more interesting’.

In case the new Chivas series is part of the ‘All or Nothing’ franchise, as was the case of the Brazilian National Team documentary made by Amazon, the project will be the first ‘All or Nothing’ produced in Spanish. Other original Amazon productions in Mexico are ‘Diablo guardian’; ‘LOL: Last One Laughing’; ‘Un extraño enemigo’; ‘El juego de las llaves’; ‘De viaje con los Derbez’ and ‘Narcos vs Zombies’.
