Amazon Prime Video reached a content agreement with the distribution company EO Media to acquire a package of seven TV shows of South American production, five originals from Argentina and two from Peru, which are already available on the platform for all subscribers in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Among the titles that premiered on the OTT, three of them are products of the team of the renowned showrunner and producer Joanna Lombardi. The Argentine fiction Survival Guide, which was also co-produced by Magma Cine, and the Peruvian shows, Adulting and Lucky day, were all made under the command of the former Head of Drama at Telefónica, and are now part of Amazon’s streaming service.
On the other hand, four other series from Argentina were also added, one of which was previously released on another platform. Estocolmo, co-produced by StoryLab and Kapow, was originally the first Argentine series purchased by Netflix, but was later withdrawn from the OTT. Meanwhile, La última hora, El Secretario and Perfidy, were transmitted exclusively by the open signal of the TV Pública channel.
