Altice integrates Netflix app in the Dominican Republic through its STBs

As reported by different specialized websites, Altice Dominicana announced that it has completed the Netflix integration on Altice TV, which is added to its pay TV offer, with plans that ranges between RD$ 590 (USD 10) and RD $1,690 (USD 29), according to the information provided by the company on its official website.

‘We are very pleased to be able to bring this new entertainment option to Dominican homes, which is added to other several initiatives that we have managed in recent months to offer varied, quality and valuable content to our clients, because they deserve it’, said Ana Figueiredo, CEO at Altice Dominicana. ‘Customers can easily access their favorite shows and movies with the Altice TV remote control, which has a built-in direct access button to Netflix. This is just the beginning of the Altice TV experience and we look forward to introducing more content and innovative features’, added the executive. Apart from Netflix integration, Altice previously had other offers available, such as YouTube and Altice Play.

Altice also reported that access to Netflix from the company’s STBs will not require a smart TV, thus allowing current Netflix customers to access it from any TV, without the need to reconfigure their account from scratch. Also, those Altice customers who do not have an active Netflix account can register through their STB in the OTT app, and follow the instructions indicated. Registration to Netflix will be allowed for free.
