Zee’s dittoTV is about to relaunch its VOD platform. A bouquet of more than 100 Hindi, English and local-language channels, at only 20 INR (0.30 USD) only on a monthly basis. That is indeed amazing news for the fellow subscribers of dittoTV, for their viewing experience will be revolutionised.
The mentioned VOD platform has been named as ‘deshKaTV’, enabling its viewers to make its use via phones, tablet or even personal computers with only a subscription fee of 50 INR (0.74 USD) for 3 months, 90 INR (1.33 USD) for 6 months and 170 INR (2.52 USD) for a year. The application is also available on Android, Windows and iOS platforms, providing general entertainment, sports, movies, news and lifestyle. To provide better service to its subscribers, dittoTV has collaborated with Siti Cable and Idea Cellular Network.
Archana Anand, the business head of dittoTV, stipulated: “We aim to revolutionise the way India watches TV. It’s a Pan India channel. We really wanted to go mass and affordable with this pricing. We see it serving as your first and only screen, as your second screen or just your TV on the go! Keeping the Indian landscape in the mind, dittoTV will soon be available in all regional languages”.
“A huge aspirational audience of ours is college students who we believe will use this especially given the Wifi in the colleges. They are the specific TGs that we are chasing. We have found that there is a huge need gap in hostels and we intend to be at youth festivals and various events to make sure that ditto is their one stop entertainment destination,” she added.
