Zee Mundo expands into South America with TV Cable

Spanish-language Bollywood movie channel Zee Mundo has signed its first deal with a pay TV operator in South America. The channel is now available on TV Cable’s lineup in Ecuador.

“We are pleased to share our content in South America,” said Rolando Figueroa, head of marketing communications and digital for Zee Mundo. Our Latino audiences across the US have shown tremendous appreciation for the channel and the content is already very popular on social media in Ecuador”, the executive added.

Zee Mundo was launched in 2016 in the US Hispanic market. Last December, Javier López Casella, general manager of the channel, told NexTV News Latam that Zee Mundo would begin its expansion in Latin America during this year.

In Ecuador, the channel is available in Guayaquil, Cuenca, Loja, Ambato, Portoviejo, Manta, Ibarra, Tulcán, Salinas, Riobamba and Machala, in frequencies 151 and 362 of TV Cable.
