WildBrain, the kids’ video content provider owned by DHX Media, has sealed the deal with Turner International for the management of a range of Turner Kids’ YouTube channels for the Middle East and African regions, including other territories.

According to the pact, the entertainment company will be able to create and handle channels. Also, WildBrain will provide services revolving around content production, viewers growth and social-networking expertise. The deal will as well, allow WildBrain to expose the main Turner brands internationally and more languages will be offered in addition to the existing local channels. Already rolling out are the animation series ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, ‘Adventure Time’, together with ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ and ‘Ben 10’ and will be followed by other shows from Cartoon Network.

Commenting on the new development, Patricia Hidalgo, the chief creative officer for Turner Kids International, said: “Building a strong branded presence on YouTube for our major kids’ brands is a key part of our strategy of putting our audience at the center of everything we do. We are excited to be working with YouTube kids’ specialist WildBrain and to benefit from their fantastic expertise in this field”.

On the other hand, John Robson, the managing director of WildBrain, commented: “As a leading network of channels for parents and kids, we are excited to deploy our experience and skills on Turner’s content. As more and more kids consume content on mobile devices, content owners are looking for ways to reach online audiences”.
