Viacom18 Digital Ventures has named its video-on-demand platform VOOT. The portal will have both old and new content from the media company.
VOOT promises content over a wide variety of connected devices via Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G and 2G networks. Video streaming services are picking pace in India. ErosNow, the OTT arm of Eros International, recently announced that as many as 30 million people have registered on the site.
