Viacom Brasil announced that it continues to expand the distribution of its channels in the main pay TV operators of that country. In this sense, Comedy Central is now available in the basic package of Net and Claro HDTV (América Móvil) on channel 137.

In turn, the main DTH system of the country, SKY, has added to its HD platform Nick Jr. (channel 287) and MTV (channel 285). In addition, MTV (in SD) is now available in the “mini-basic” package of Oi.

According to Rogério Francis, Viacom Brazil’s senior director of Content Distribution, the objective is to continue to expand the penetration of the brands in the Brazilian market. “In addition to delivering more quality content to consolidated and widely distributed channels such as MTV and Nickelodeon with the launch of HD channels, our goal for the near future is to further expand the reach of Comedy Central and Paramount Channel, which already have a very expressive subscriber base”.
