Uruguay leads anime audience in Latin America

The OTT Crunchyroll, the biggest anime market referent with more than one million subscribers,  published a 10 countries list that represented anime’s contents largest audience during the last days of March worldwide. Uruguay was the major anime consumer in Latin America, although the number of subscribers in each country was not posted.

In Latin America, Uruguay led the list, followed by Colombia, which was in the sixth position. Crunchyroll also considered the Dominican Republic in eighth place, followed by Ecuador and Peru, who were in the last two places.

According to Crunchyroll, the most watched animes in Latin America during 2018 were My Hero Academy, Black Clover, Boruto, One Piece and Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody for Central America, and in South America the biggest audience was for Boruto, My Hero Academy and Black Clover.

Max Castro, Crunchyroll’s Project Manager in Latin America, will be a speaker in the ‘Personalization Strategies’ panel at the Nextv Series Argentina event, organized by Dataxis. It will take place on May 14th and 15th at the Intercontinental Hotel, in Buenos Aires.
