Univision, Telemundo apps launch on streaming media players

U.S. Spanish-Language Networks Univision and Telemundo announced the launch of its applications on streaming media players.

Telemundo announce the launch of Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app on Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV, in addition to being Chromecast enabled. This marks the first time a U.S. network offers a stand-alone, fully-dedicated Spanish-language sports app on connected TV devices. The service offers hundreds of live events airing on Telemundo and Universo every year, as well as exclusive events and on-demand content.

In turn, the app Univision Now, which also offers live and on demand content, is now available on Roku devices. It includes 2,000 hours of VOD content, live programming from Univision and UniMás, and 72-hour DVR functionality.
