Ginx eSports TV, the UK-based Partner, has made its way to Israel through a partnership with the 4GTV app of Partner, the mobile operator in Israel. Expected to be launched in the coming months, Ginx will also be available on Partner’s TV.
According to a statement by Partner, “The Israeli gaming community includes hundreds of thousands of people between the ages of 12-40, yet eSports TV content in Israel, prior to the launch of GINX, was very limited. We thank GINX Esports TV and its London-based team, for teaming with us, as we launch the channel’s content exclusively on Partner’s mobile 4GTV app”.
Commenting about the development, Michiel Bakker, CEO, Ginx eSports TV, said: “We are delighted that Partner’s 4GTV App will be the first Israeli platform to launch Ginx eSports TV. We aim to provide Israel’s fast growing gaming community with an exciting mix of live eSports tournament coverage from the biggest and best events across the globe as well as a host of eSports entertainment formats, news and behind-the-scenes documentaries”.
Further, he said: “We are looking forward to working with Partner to add local Israeli esports content to our channel”.
The TV service of Partner will be based on Android TV, an operating system open to over-the-top (OTT) services, applications, video, music, games and other content, together with Partner TV’s bundled TV channels and video-on-demand (VOD) services.
