More than two million people streamed the NFL on Twitter

For the second consecutive week, more than two million people watched the NFL game on Twitter. The matches are available in Latin America in the social network but also in the new Twitter apps for Apple TV and Xbox One.


According to NFL, during the march between New England Patriots and Houston Texans last Thursday 22, 2.2 million viewers, a bit more than the 2.1 million registered during the match between Jets vs. Bills, which was Twitter’s first-week airing the NFL. The average audience watching Thursday Night Football on Twitter properties was 327,000 up +34% vs previous week.


Twitter app for Xbox One is available in Latin America only in Brazil and Mexico, while for Apple TV is available globally via the App Store for Apple TV (4th generation).


The free apps will feature all live streaming video available on Twitter. Users do not need a Twitter account or be subscribed to pay TV operators. Twitter also launched an app for Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, available in the United States and UK.
