Twitter announces new video content deals in Latin America

Twitter has announced new premium content deal in Latin America, including sports, news and entertainment from companies like Fox Sports, Sony Pictures Television, Turner and Viacom, among others.
During its first TwitterFronts event for Latin America, the social network announced 11 deals. The new live and original programming includes a partnership with Fox Sports to offer highlights of the main soccer championships in the world, including statistics, interviews and the best plays.
Canal Sony account for Latin America will have exclusive content and highlights of TV shows “Shark Tank” and “The Voice” (American version).
The partnership with Turner will allow fans to access content related to the main award shows in 2019 (Golden Globes, Oscar, Emmy, Grammys, Teen Choice and Latin Grammys) through red carpet transmissions and live pre-shows.
For its part, Viacom’s pay TV channels MTV and Nickelodeon will offer premium content for a period of up to three months around the talks about the MTV Miaw and Nickelodeon KCA awards.
Twitter also signed agreements with the NFL for a two weekly live shows, and the NBA for live highlights of this season. The list also includes Reuters, which will offer the new show “The Money Race”; Vice, which will develop a live TV show for Twitter called “Entre Tiempos” and Buzzfeed, which will broadcast the comedy series “Yo Nunca Nunca”.
