The second season of the multi-award-winning Argentine original series “Un Gallo para Esculapio” will premiere on TNT on Tuesday, October 16. The next day, all episodes will be available in Cablevisión Flow and Channel 1 of Cablevisión HD.
This year, TNT will be the only channel airing the series. The first season was also available on free-to-air channel Telefe (Viacom).
The new season of the series, produced by Underground and Boga Bogagna in co-production with Cablevisión Flow, was filmed in 60 different locations and will focus on the return of Nelson (Peter Lanzani) after six months of being away from Buenos Aires.
The first season was launched in 2017 and was recorded for 4 months in 85 locations. It also had more than 500 extras. The series won the fiction support contest promoted by the INCAA (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts), won the Martín Fierro de Oro Award, and took home other six statuettes in main categories.
“TNT has become a powerhouse that generates quality content for the entire region. Un Gallo para Esculapio 2 is a quality national fiction, with great talents, that has led it to become a cult series,” said Mariano Cesar, VP Content & Brands Portfolio, General Entertainment, Turner Latin America.
Antonio Álvarez, director of Telecom’s Programming, said that the first season had almost 2.5 million views and almost 70% of those who watched the series binge watched it, meaning they watched two or more episodes. “We know that this second season will also be a success that will surely break new viewing records.”
