Tigo (Millicom) will integrate Amazon Prime Video for its Colombian customers starting today and in the next months in the rest of its  Latin American operations, to bring entertainment content to its more than 32 million mobile and 3.6 million cable customers. Subscription will cost USD 5.99, with three months free, both for customers by cable subscription and through 4G mobile telephony.

Service, which includes more than 4,000 Amazon Prime Video titles and will allow to access to content on up to 3 devices, will be billed by Tigo and will also be integrated into ONEtv platform, and also in its search and recommendation areas, both in OTT and in hybrid TV STBs.

Tigo, which has already extended a preliminary agreement with Amazon Prime Video in Guatemala during the first days of the year, will launch Amazon as an add-on for existing postpaid customers, and in a bundle for new offerings. The company had already ran an agreement with Netflix, and has other similar multiplatform agreements available with Fox, HBO and Crackle.

‘This agreement is a continuation of our strategy to position Tigo as a content and entertainment supermarket’, said Luciano Marino, VP B2C of Millicom, to Nextv News.
