Grupo Televisa announced that it has extended for another three years its contract with the National Football League (NFL). This way, three more games will be played at Estadio Azteca, one each year, until 2021.
So far, three NFL games were played in Mexico. The new agreement will allow matches to continue at Estadio Azteca for 2019, 2020 and 2021, Televisa said in a statement.
Recently, the director of NFL Mexico, Arturo Olivé, said that all the teams have the desire to play one of their seasonal games in the country, according to ESPN website.
“All teams are interested in coming, including Dallas and Pittsburgh. One of my dreams is to make what London will achieve shortly and we hope we can achieve it in the years to come. We will stay tuned to the news that the commissioner will give us,” Olivé said.
